[edit]General comments
[edit]- I noticed you have been frequently updating your userpage, User:Bryceman99, with personal updates; this is something you will probably have to cut back on, because of the guideline that Wikipedia is not a blog. The best thing to use your userpage for is to display some information about your editing and your work on Wikipedia, so if an editor ends up working with you on an article or in a discussion they can look at your user page and get an idea who they're dealing with. For example, my userpage has userboxes about what languages I can edit in and what Wikipedia projects I'm involved in, and lots of information about the kinds of articles I edit, but there is very little personal information about me. rʨanaɢ talk/contribs 02:32, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
- Well,I've actually TRIED putting boxes on my userpage, but no such luck. I don't know how! Bryceman99 (talk) 10:29, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
- You mean userboxes? The easiest way to do it is like this:
{{Userbox top}} ... ... ... ... {{Userbox bottom}}
- Each "..." can be a box. WP:UBX has a list of pretty much all the userboxes available. You can also look at anyone else's userpage that has boxes (such as mine) to see how they do it; that's pretty much how I learned everything I know about Wikipedia coding, by looking off of other people's pages or templates. rʨanaɢ talk/contribs 12:38, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
