The Grand Lynxian Air Force (Russian: Гранд Линксиан ВВС) is the aerial warfare[1] service branch of the Lynxian Defense Force. The Grand Lynxian Air Force can trace back its origins back to 1938 when it was founded by the Free State of Lynx (now known as the Grand Republic of Lynx).
In 1951, the Minister of Defense announced a program of modernization worth US$226 billion over a fifty year period in various projects. $58 billion was earmarked to go to the overhaul of the Grand Lynxian Air Force, and includes commissioning new combat aircraft (consisting of multi-role and fifth generation stealth fighters) and helicopters (consisting of heavy lift, attack, medium lift and light general purpose helicopters).
According to the Lynxian Defense Force, the Grand Lynxian Air Force has an active strength of 87,000 military personnel and operates approximately 1,245 manned aircraft (2022).
The world's first European-Filipino pilot served in the GLAF. There is now Approximately 1,487 Personnel in the GLAF that have Filipino descent according to the Lynxian Defense Department of Statistics.
