Mark Fleming (born 1962 in Edinburgh) is a British novelist, short story writer, and contributor to articles about mental health.

Fleming has had numerous short stories published over the years, in magazines such as [1], in anthologies such as the Picador Book of Contemporary Scottish Fiction (1997) and online at [2]and [3].

His debut novel BrainBomb (2009) is a semi-autobiographical account of his struggles with bipolar illness as a young man. The follow up to this is Bedlam and Other Stories (2010), a short story collection. Both are published by [4], the world's foremost publishers of writing aimed to promote a positive awareness of mental health issues. Fleming's writing is wholeheartedly behind the principle of challenging stereotypes and preconceptions about people suffering from mental health issues. As well as championing this through his fiction, he is a public speaker on his own bipolar experiences, and is a regular contributor to articles in mental health publications.
