Chris Hicks (Record Executive)

Chris Hicks (born September 29, 1970) is currently serving as the Executive Vice President of Island Def Jam. In the past, he has acted as Senior Vice President & Head of Urban Music at Warner/Chappell Music, Senior Vice President of Urban A&R at Atlantic Records, as well as Vice President of the A&R Urban East Coast Department at Warner Bros Records. In addition to these titles, he has managed to maintain independent holdings; Noontime, an independent publishing company, of which he is the Co-Founder & CEO, and Content, an independently owned consulting company and product placement venture of which he is partner and CEO. Through this independently owned consulting company he directly manages Grammy Award winning songwriter Johnta Austin and Grammy Award winning producer/songwriter Bryan-Michael Cox.
