George K. Pagoumian (born November 19, 1935) is an Armenian_American businessman. He was Founder and CEO of Napco LLC between 1996 and 2008.
Early life and career[edit]
Pagoumian has spent his career in the underwriting business. His first position was with Scottish Union working in the property claims department in 1959. When the company was acquired by Norwich Union, he went on to work for Commerical Union Insurance Company as a commercial property underwriter. After 4 years with the company, he took a break from the business world to spend a one year tour of duty with the New York Army National Guard. Upon completion of active duty, Pagoumian resumed his underwriting career spending five years as a National Account Property Underwriter, working for Great American Insurance Company. He subsequently served a year with Frenkel & Co., Inc. before moving to R.C. Rathbone & Son, Inc. When R.C Rathbone & Son was acquired by Fred S. James & Co, Inc., he continued with the company serving as Director of National Accounts Property. In 1984, he became President of the Mid-Atlantic Division for Rollins Burdick Hunter, where he spent four years. He later went on to become partner with Tri-City Brokerage, Inc, serving as the Managing Director of the National Accounts Property Division. He stayed with the company until 1996, when he left to found Napco, LLC.

Personal life[edit]
Mr. Pagoumian enjoys spending his free time in assisting with NAPCO’s charitable endeavors, as well as reading spiritual books.
George Pagoumian spends a considerable portion of his fortune donating to charitable causes, particularly those connected to his Armenian heritage. In 2006, Mr. Pagoumian was honored for his humanitarian efforts on behalf of women and children’s charities throughout the world at the Children of Armenia Fund’s third annual Save a Generation Awards[1] in New York City. He enjoys spending time with his family and particularly his four grandchildren.
