Contrell William "Phat" Hudson (born November 16, 2003), also known by his stage name Phat-Man (stylized as PHATMAN), is an American rapper, songwriter, actor, and entrepreneur. He is widely considered to be the most influential rapper of all time. He is the founder and CEO of the conglomerate company Phatman Enterprises. The comic book character Phat-Man is named after him.

Contrell William Hudson was born on November 16, 2003, in Canton, Mississippi, to Shana Gregory and CW "Buddy" Hudson III. He was given the nickname "Phat-Man" or "Phat" when he was a baby, though only his maternal grandmother called him "Manz". Hudson was known for his good basketball shooting skills while playing in friendly games in the neighborhood which led to him getting the nickname "Glock".


In 2022, Hudson graduated from Lanier High School. He is a member of the Gangster Disciples.

Music career

Hudson initially wanted to rap under the stage name "MGM Glock" (Initialism for Menace Gettin' Money Glock) but felted he would be copyrighted by the MGM company in the future. He decided to perform under the stage name Phat-Man.

Business career

Forbes magazine listed Hudson at number one on their 30 under 30 in 2027. Forbes magazine estimated that for the year ending May 2027, Hudson earned $160 million, ranking him number one among entertainers. He is one of the wealthiest musical artists, with an estimated net worth of US$2.5 billion by 2028.
