My real life name is Derick, and I am a casual yet relatively active user of Wikipedia. I am 19 and living in Toronto, where I will begin University in the upcoming fall of 2009 (which will be two years later than I should have) at the University of Toronto; I was born in East York in 1989, which was not a part of Toronto at the time but has been since 1999. I have lived my whole life in Scarborough, which amalgamated with Toronto at the same time.

My expertise includes articles related to Ayn Rand and Objectivism, Ice Hockey, and Video Games, particularly the first. I have made roughly 300 contributions.

I am a student of Objectivism, an aspiring writer, and an aspiring intellectual. I have strongly held beliefs supporting individualism, reason, capitalism, atheism and more. I believe that ideas are important to human history and human life, and that some are harmful to both. As a student of Objectivism my line of thought is very similar to and has been very much influenced by Ayn Rand.

I think Wikipedia is very useful and very cool, and would like to become more involved. My greatest life achievement up to this point is that the logo for the capitalism article was made by a friend of mine, edited by a stranger, and uploaded by me.
