""Mehran Khan"" (born July 24, 1983) is a Bangladeshi filmmaker, cinematographer, editor and music composer.

Early Life & Career[edit]

Khan was born on July 24, 1983 in Austria, Vienna, the son of Dr Iftekhar H. Khan, an opthamologist, and Eva Iftekhar (née Khondokar). His family moved to Dhaka, Bangladesh and Khan attended the Sunbeams School till 2001, when he graduated after completing his GCE O' Levels. He then went on to attend the University of Southern California. After graduation, Khan worked at Walt Disney Pictures in Burbank and later at the BBC in London. Soon he decided to open his own company back in his hometown of Dhaka.

Damage Inc. Productions[edit]

After working in Hollywood and London, Khan decided to open his own production company Damage Inc. Productions in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The company introduced the Bangladeshi film and media market to 4:4:4 technology for the first time.

Digital Filmmaking[edit]

Unlike his peers, Khan refuses to shoot in 35mm film. He has shot all his commercials, short films and features digitally. As a result, he works as the director, cinematographer (DP), editor, colorist and sometimes the music composers for most of his projects.
