Jonas Turkow born in 1898 in Poland, died in 1987 in Tel Aviv, Israel. Actor, stage manager, director and writer.

Brother of the actor Zygmunt Turkow, actor and writer Icchak Turkow and the journalist Marek Turkow, husband of the famous actres Diana Blumenfeld. Prisoner of Warsaw Ghetto 1940-43, later member of the polish underground AK (National Army). After the war, as a member of the Central Jewish Comitee of Poland, investigated 18 cases of Jewish collaborators with German Gestapo. Since 1950 in Israel.
