Melbourne Declaration on Educational Goals for Young Australians is a declaration from all the State and Federal Ministers for Education in Australia made in December 2008. The declaration acknowledges the changes in the world that are placing new demands on Australian education including global integration and technological change. The goals are: Goal 1. Australian schooling promotes equity and excellence. Goal 2. All young Australians become, successful learners, confident and creative individuals and active and informed citizens.
