Paul Girgash is a former leading tackler on defense for the University of Michigan football team from 1979 - 1982[1]. Girgash was a three year starter and a Team Captain for the 1982 season. [2] Girgash was part of the 1980 Michigan defense that went 22 consecutive quarters without allowing a touchdown including four quarters against Washington in the 1981 Rose Bowl.[3] Girgash recorded 8 tackles in that game. Twice in his career Girgash recorded 19 total tackles, including his 1982 performance in 'The Game' vs. Ohio State.[4]
