The Photography Club is the official photography club cultural of Manipal Institute of Technology, a school of Manipal University. The Photography Club, Manipal gives a platform to students of MIT to learn new techniques from basics to advanced under guidance of experienced photographers. Students from colleges across the university participate in competitions and workshops organised by the club. Competitions include Studio Works, Fashion Portfolio Shoots, Photorace, etc as well as workshops on basics of photography to advanced photography covering all genre of photography.
The Photography Club officially covers all events and happening in the Campus as well as outside if needed.
It organizes various events which include Xcursions to various places, Photowalks, Workshops, etc.
Shoot'em Up
[edit]The Photography Club, Manipal organised its very first Photography fest "Shoot'em Up" in 2012. This is an annual fest organised in odd semester of every academic year and allows students to attend workshops and participate in events allowing them to showcase there work, ideas and achievements.
