The 21st Century Australia Party is an Australian political party established with the mission of ‘Bringing Australia’s Political and Educational Systems into the 21st Century.’[1] It was founded in March 2013 by Motivational Speaker, Entrepreneur and Self-Made Millionaire Jamie McIntyre, along with a group of like minded individuals. The primary objective of the self-labelled ‘compassionate capitalist’ party is to create, ‘An abundant, prosperous 21st Century economy, for all Australians to fairly share in the massive wealth our large nation (Australia) can provide.’[2]

The party is to be formally launched at Glen Innes RSL on the 22nd April, 2013. It aims to field candidates in most of the 150 lower house seats[3] and their Facebook fan page ‘A New 21st Century Political System for Australia’ has already attracted nearly 4000 followers.[4]

History

[edit]
Jamie McIntyre, Founder of 21st Century Australia Party

Jamie McIntyre and a group of like minded individuals founded the Party in March 2013. At this time it was announced that McIntyre would challenge Tony Windsor for the New England seat. McIntyre comes from a farming family in New England, New South Wales, and still owns several rural holdings in the area himself.[5]

He has been the Founder and CEO of over 12 companies throughout his career, the basis of which is ‘21st Century Education’ a motivational coaching and ‘financial education’ organisation launched in 1998. McIntyre founded the organisation after a personal journey that took him from being heavily in debt, after a failed business venture, to become a self-made millionaire while still in his twenties.[6] 21st Century Education was started by McIntyre to share the skills and education that enabled him to become a millionaire, lessons that he said he learnt from modeling highly successful people.

Jamie McIntyre has maintained a public profile ever since his Young Australian of the Year nomination in 1999. He has hosted a number of famous faces, like Richard Branson, to speak at events, with Arnold Schwarzenegger to come out in June 2013. During his career McIntyre has also been a lobbyist and outspoken critic of the financial planning industry, promoting instead that people financially ‘educate’ themselves rather than place their money in the hands of financial planners.[7]

21st Century Australia Party Vision

[edit]

Outlining his vision for the new political movement in 2013, Jamie McIntyre said: “It is my vision (and that of 21st Century Australia Political Party) to assist in the transformation of Australia into a more abundant and prosperous nation for every single Australian and to bring it truly into the 21st Century by providing an economically successful environment that encourages, inspires and supports all Australians to perform at higher levels; thus adding even more value to our society and great country. I firmly believe in compassionate capitalism and having a strong social conscience. With passion, dedication and awareness combined with strong leadership that has vision, strength and courage to create change, Australia can and will achieve its full potential as the best nation on earth, becoming a world leader in many fields and endeavours.” [8]

The 21st Century Australia Party says it will implement a 10-20 year, and beyond, plan to achieve this vision. Their 24 point plan is outlined at www.21stcenturyaustraliaparty.com.au/24-ways-to-improve-australia/
