Andrew Kung is a physician and scientist. He serves as Chair of the Department of Pediatrics at Memorial Sloan Kettering, heading its clinical, research, and educational projects.[1][2]

Biography

Andrew Kung earned his MD at the Stanford University School of Medicine before completing his residency at Children’s Hospital Boston.

Career

Kung was a faculty member at both the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School before moving to Columbia University Medical Center to lead the division of pediatric hematology, oncology, and stem cell transplantation.[2] He specializes in using cancer genomics, precision medicine, and stem cell transplantation to care for patients.[3] His research is centered on identifying the root causes of pediatric cancers and in turn developing new treatments to benefit pediatric cancer patients.[1] He became the chairman of the department of pediatrics at MSK in 2016.[2]
