State of the Map (SotM) is OpenStreetMap community's annual international conference, organized by volunteers and by the OpenStreetMap Foundation since 2007[1]. The main topic of the conference include OpenStreetMap collaborative project progress, open-source software, digital cartography and social and technical aspects related to these topics. Without any specific frequence, there are also regional and local conference names "State of the Map" (such as SotM-Asia, SotM-Africa, SotM-US and others) organised entirely by local teams with sponsorship with separeted budgets from the OpenStreetMap Foundation[1].
