The Father of Acoustics is a title that has been bestowed on several different scientists and engineers. However, there are many other people who are recognized to have contributed to the science of acoustics, including Newton, Euler, Lagrange, Laplace, Poisson, George Green, Stokes, Kirchoff, and Rayleigh.[1]
