Previously a geography student in Oxford University, interested in all issues around environmental sciences, arid zones (Bedouin and Pastoralism, for example) and classics (Heraclitus).

Has worked in a medical library, DEFRA, various jewellers, and spent 7 months teaching English in Wuhu, Anhui, China.

Also interested in Victorian politics, especially under Disraeli.

Does a lot of medieval reenactment- I attended Hastings 2006, for instance.

I strongly oppose all forms of censorship.
