Khlav Kalash is a Spanish prog metal band from Alicante, Spain, formed in 2002. The band cites influences as S.O.A.D., Incubus, Skunk DF, Dream Theater, Steve Vai, Smashing Pumpkins, and Metallica.[1]

Name[edit]
An episode of The Simpsons, "The City of New York vs. Homer Simpson," probably explains the Spanish band's name, as Homer eats a Middle Eastern food called Khlav Kalash in New York City. There is also a German cover band named "Khlav Kalash"[2] whose name was clearly inspired by the Simpsons episode.[3]
