Log
[edit]Record of my work, for my own amusement.
- Ohio missing geocoordinate data: started at around 260, now about 90. Mostly tough stuff remaining, very time consuming. Doing Michigan for a while to make some progress. GeorgeofOrange (talk) 02:38, 19 February 2018 (UTC)
- Michigan missing geocoordinate data: started at 655, now below 600. Have done mostly rivers. GeorgeofOrange (talk) 02:38, 19 February 2018 (UTC)
- Galbreath Field Quite an accomplishment to find a stadium which has been torn down. Confirmed by the outline of the satellite image. GeorgeofOrange (talk) 02:50, 20 February 2018 (UTC)
- Michigan missing geocoordinate data: now below 500. All rivers done I could. Passed three states - Michigan had been fifth most missing coords, now eighth, tied with Minnesota. GeorgeofOrange (talk) 01:27, 4 March 2018 (UTC)
- Tom Monaghan's Leaning Tower of Pizza No coords anywhere. Conjecture to the site, then shadow from the satellite image confirms! About 465 Michigan now. GeorgeofOrange (talk) 02:28, 8 March 2018 (UTC)
- Steiners Corner, Ohio. First ghost town I have found. Tough sledding in OH, now 76 missing coords, Michigan 439. 02:38, 10 March 2018 (UTC)
- Was down to 75 Ohio missing coords and 420 for Michigan, but a bunch more got added. After working on MI school districts down to 108 OH and 453 MI. 01:01, 14 March 2018 (UTC)
- Finally down to 400 for Michigan missing coords. Lots and lots of schools. Skipping most of the closed schools as they often lack an address and web site. Astounding and sad how many there are. 01:04, 20 March 2018 (UTC)
- Michigan below 200, which means they all fit on one page. 01:11, 7 April 2018 (UTC)
- Michigan 178, Ohio 69, Indiana started at 261. GeorgeofOrange (talk) 01:33, 13 April 2018 (UTC)
- Unclassified missing coordinates from 2143 to 1140. All I am doing is classifying, not adding coordinates. Yes, there are bots for this, but these mostly seem to be the ones the bots cannot figure out. Michigan 47, Ohio 59, Indiana 197. GeorgeofOrange (talk) 01:40, 9 June 2018 (UTC)
- Located Sacred Oak from among the other trees only because the aerial photo was taken on one of the only two days a year people are allowed on the property to see the oak - and I could follow the trail of people from their cars to the oak! GeorgeofOrange (talk) 01:54, 16 November 2018 (UTC)
- Unclassified missing coordinates from 2143 to less than 400. Only classifying, not adding coordinates. Yes, there are bots for this, but these mostly seem to be the ones the bots cannot figure out.
- Working in Wikipedia again after a long hiatus. Wisconsin here I come.
- Spaceship Church
- Rio Turtle Wow was this one difficult! Cannot see from aerial or satellite due to the trees. Lots of looking with StreetView. GeorgeofOrange (talk) 02:35, 19 November 2019 (UTC)
- Near Here
- Fromm Brothers Fur and Ginseng Farm Unbelievably quirky story.
- Crandon shooting Building torn down, memorial of flowers can be seen in StreetAtlas.
- More work again on Lynden Sculpture Garden. This may be all I can do. 02:58, 5 January 2020 (UTC)
- Wrapped up Lynden Sculpture Garden, only 3 remain. WI now 32. Did some PA from 181 to 170. 23:10, 5 January 2020 (UTC)
- Started on MN again - from 268 to 258. 02:20, 6 January 2020 (UTC)

Grace College announced the home would be moved and partially restored in the summer of 2017. The foundation has been compromised by water and some of the exposed wood has become severely rotted. It will be moved from its original site on Sunday Lane to a new location on the campus on College Ave. The current site along with adjacent land has been sold to by Grace College to Silveus Insurance Group, which intends to use the land in its plan for a new corporate headquarters.[3]

In May 2016, the congregations of Westbrook Church and Elmbrook Church of Brookfield voted to merge into a single, multi-site congregation. The Westbrook Church site was renamed Elmbrook Church-Lake Country.[8]

Coordinates
[edit]From Wikipedia:WikiProject Geographical coordinates#Which coordinates to use "For administrative districts, use the head office." From Wikipedia:WikiProject Geographical coordinates#Precision guidelines To specify a particular point in the city, such as a building, generally requires precision down to degrees-minutes-seconds or d.dddd° if decimal degrees are used. ... A general rule is to give precisions approximately one-tenth the size of the object
Sample Coords
[edit]CfD
[edit]Category:Cincinnati articles missing geocoordinate data Has been empty since I started looking in January 2018. There are Cincinnati articles missing coordinates, but the users and bots put them under Ohio articles, which is not excessively large. Overcategorization to the point where the category is not used.
Category:Youngstown articles missing geocoordinate data I started adding missing Ohio coordinates in January 2018. None I added were in Youngstown. None of the current Ohio articles missing coordinates are in Youngstown. Simply no call for it.
Category:Ohio townships task force articles missing geocoordinate data This category is empty with good reason - all the Ohio townships have articles with coordinates. So there are no possible members. The townships don't change all that much - pretty much in place since 1830, so there are no future members.
