Tron-Electric is a British manufacturer of high-end audio valve or tube amplifiers for the audiophile market.
History
[edit]The company was founded in Higher Denham, England, by Graham Tricker in 1995. Graham started designing custom audio electronics in the early 1980s. The first Tron amplifier was a single-ended design based on the 211/VT4C vacuum tube. Tron-Electric continues to specialise in the design and manufacture of single-ended triode amplifiers.
Current projects
[edit]In addition to power amplifiers based around 300B and 211 valves, a new amplifier has been developed which has only one valve per channel in the signal path.
Graham Tricker
[edit]Graham Tricker worked in the telecommunications industry for over thirty years as an electronics engineer, a design authority and a senior process consultant. He began his career as a valve technician in the 1970s. He was technical author of Dagmar and Paul Kavsek's book Tube Amplifiers published by Allegro Verlag in 1995.[1]
