Wayne Lee (born Jan UKNOWN, 19UNKNOWN) is a Canadian Motivational_speaker and Hypnotist. Lee's books include "Secrets of Success for Magicians and Stage Hypnotists", and "Life’s Magical Meanings".

Early Life

Lee was born in Edmonton, Alberta in Canada. He was a five-time Canadian amateur wrestling champion.

Early Career

Lee completed a University degree in Education from the University of Alberta (?) in 19xx. He went on to be a school teacher. Lee's fascination with magic led him to learning the trade, eventually working part-time doing magic for parties and corporate functions. Upon attending a local club, Lee witnessed stage hypnosis and set out to learn for himself. Three months later he performed his first-ever hypnosis show on amateur night at a local bar.

Professional Stage Hypnotist

In 1996 Lee left teaching altogether to pursue professional Stage Hynosis full-time. Since then he has performed over 2,500 shows across Canada and the United States. Through these performances he has hypnotized over 25,000 people.

Lee's performance entails selecting audience members to volunteer to be hypnotized. Subsequently Lee will have these participants dance outrageously, act like celebrities, and other entertaining acts. Towards the conclusion there is usually a motivational message about the power of one's mind.

Lee uses stage hypnosis to show crowds how powerful participants' minds were to act outrageously, then draws a parallel, explaining that the mind can be just as powerful when directed towards relationships, money, career, or other life endeavours.

Lee's goal is to perform on the Las Vegas strip.

Books

Secrets of Success for Magicians and Stage Hypnotists

Lee self-published Secrets of Success for Magicians and Stage Hypnotists in 2003. The book was co-authored by Sheldon Casavant. Lee discusses the business aspect of working profesionally as a stage hypnotist or magician.

Life’s Magical Meanings

In August 2004, Lee's second book Life’s Magical Meanings was self-published. It is an inspirational book that uses art and language to examine the inner meanings of the words that humans use everyday.

Seminars

Lee conducts Stage Hypnosis shows including his Ignite the MAGIC Within (IMW) workshop and his Live the Laughter: A Comedic Hypnosis Show (LtL) comedic entertainment show.

In the IMW workshop, Lee leads attendees through exercises helping them to: focus through distractions, control emotions, create opportunities, overcome barriers such as fear, relieve stress, and acquire new habits.

In the LtL comedic show, Lee leads volunteers to dance outrageously, act out their dreams, and act as celebrities.

Acting and Film

2003 documentary The Deeper You Go focuses on Lee's career and the mysteries of hypnosis. The film follows Lee during his climb from marginal celebrity entertainer into mainstream motivational personality.

Throughout 2005, The Deeper You Go aired nationally in Canada on The Documentary Channel. It was featured at the Montreal World Film Festival, the Calgary International Film Festival, the New York International & Independent Film and Video Festival, and the Golden Gate Fiction & Documentary Festival.

At the 2005 Golden Gate Fiction & Documentary Festival, The Deeper You Go won honors for Best Director.

Awards

In 2008 Lee was recognized as Entertainer of the Year at the Canadian Events Industry Awards.
