The Utica Shelby Swim Club is an amature competitive swim team. This program is governed by the rules of USA Swimming. The club is located in Rochester, Michigan but serves the counties of Macomb and Oakland. The club is a 501-c-3, non-profit organisation. ^[1]

Goal[edit]

The club states that it sets goals for each of its swimmers according to their abilities. The head coach aims to have the Senior groups competing at a State Competition level.

Practices and Groups[edit]

Utica Shelby Swim Club divides it's swimmers into groups. ^[2] Groups and requirements are listed below.

Novice 1 - Age 5-8. The swimmers in this group must be comfortable putting their face into the water and they must be able to float on their backs unassisted. As another requirement, you must be able to flutter kick on your stomach with a kickboard assisting you.
