Wooly necked stork

The Beel has faced many problems due to anthropogenic pressure, mostly the Beel is facing problems of artficial matter. Chemical fertilizer used in the paddy field present on the bank of the wetland harmfully effects both fish and water, and cutting down of trees nearer to the Beel effets the weather. Due to the lack of importance towards the conservation of the wetland, many important species have been exticted or have been endangered from the beel in a short time which includes some important birds like purple swamphen(Porphyrio porphyrio), Swamp francolin(Francolinus gularis).
