Nivisys Industries is a company that manufactures, supplies and distributtes surveillance, night vision and thermal systems and products for the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Government intelligence agencies and other domestic and international customers.

Nivisys Industries is headquartered in Tempe, Arizona.[1]

History

Nivisys was founded in 2003 by Byron Harding, who is now Chairman Emeritus. Originally, Nivisys was a only distribution business for night vision products and parts. Since its conception, the company has added assembly, integration and proprietary design, as well and manufacturing and testing capabilities. <[2] In 2010 Nivisys acquired a infrared laser line from DRS Night Vision Systems.

Nivisys Industries operates under three main divisions:[3]

  • Assembly
    • Building and Kitting image intensified and thermal systems.
  • Manufacturing
    • Designing and fabricating parts for internal and external products and customers.
  • Quality Control
    • Testing products to ensure they meet quality standards set forth by MIL-STD-810.

Allen Harding assumed chief executive officer responsibilities for the company in April of 2008. [4]

  • TAWS-32/64, A dedicated thermal weapon sight mounted on a Picatinny rail
  • UTAC-32/64, A weapon mounted clip-on thermal monocular used in conjunction with a telescopic sight
  • NVAG, A helmet mounted binocular using image intensifier technology for aviation applications
  • MUM-14, A hand held, weapon mounted or helmet mounted monocular using image intensifier technology
