I am Second is a media and evangelistic movement that uses films of the personal stories of both celebrity and regular folks as internet content, leading to a dialogue about faith in Christ Jesus and ultimately making a connection with a local church or Christian group. Launched in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area in November, 2008 by e3 Partners Ministry, the movement now has users from 211 countries worldwide. Celebrities such as baseball all-star Josh Hamilton, Dallas Cowboy Jason Witten, college football stars Colt McCoy and Sam Bradford, actor Stephen Baldwin, novelist Anne Rice, and politician Mike Huckabee have participated in the movement. A distinctive of the movement is the use of high-profile advertising to attract people to the website and to be involved in other activities, such as small groups, which is rare for non-profit groups.
