Blake Mathew Simon Mills is a 21 year old musician, songwriter, composer and producer based in Venice Beach, California.
He was a founding member and co songwriter for the indie rock band Simon Dawes[1].
His self produced debut album Break Mirrors will be released in 2010 via Record Collection[2].
As a session musician Blake has recorded songs with Julian Casablancas[3], Weezer, Jenny Lewis, Kid Rock, Bruce Hornsby, Cory Chisel, Jesca Hoop and many others.
Blake Mills is a music consultant for Apple Computers and Apogee Electronics.
In 2009 Blake contributed music for two films, The forthcoming Ozzy Osbourne documentary Wreckage of my Past[4] and The People Speak[5], a political documentary starring Howard Zinn, Matt Damon, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Josh Brolin and others.
As a performer Blake has toured with Simon Dawes, Julian Casablancas, Jenny Lewis, Band of Horses, Cory Chisel, Jesca Hoop and Cass Mccombs.
Blake performed, co-wrote, and produced the 2009 Mt Egypt album III and is currently producing the debut album from Los Angeles band Haim[6].
