History

[edit]

The Company was incorporated in New Delhi, India in January 2004, under the Companies Act of India, 1956. Background

[edit]

KHP operates in emerging urban centers such as Guwahati (Assam) because of the following factors:
• There is tremendous demand for housing in emerging urban or Tier 2 locations as challenges of migration, housing capacity, housing quality, affordability, conversion of residential space into high density commercial office space, and change in life‐style from traditional to contemporary, mount in urban or Tier 1 locations (e.g., Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkota, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad etc.)
• 13% of growth to GDP in India is derived from Tier 2 areas thus providing the economic space for companies such as KHP to engage in the housing sector
• It is more cost effective for an upcoming housing company to operate in a Tier 2 area because of relative cheaper pricing structures and easy access to local skilled and unskilled labor[3]
