Jancey Sheats is the weekday co-anchor of KARK 4 news at 5, 6 and 10pm in Little Rock, Arkansas

Jancey was born in Baytown, Texas on September 26, 1975 and came to the Little Rock Arkansas news market, making her first KARK newscast on January 31, 2005, where she replaced long time anchorwoman Denise Whitaker. Jancey previously was the anchor of KBMT in Beaumont, Texas, an ABC affiliate.

Jancey's first interest in news reporting happened when her hometown of Baytown, Texas was hit by Hurricane Alicia in 1983, after a swarm of reporters arrived to report on the storm. Miss Sheats also was involved in theater growing up, both in performing and backstage productions. Jancey graduated with honors from The University of Texas with a Bachelor of Journalism, Broadcast News degree.

Jancey has had the opportunity to also work as a production assistant for the Rosie O’Donnell Show. She also served as an Academy Awards Media Supervisor for the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
