Cancel The Apocalypse is a French acoustic post-metal band, from Toulouse, Occitanie and Bordeaux, Nouvelle Aquitaine .

Biography[edit]

Audrey Paquet and Arnaud Barat are graduates of the Bordeaux Conservatory, classical music specialty.

During the Metallica concert in the Arènes de Nîmes, they noticed the vocal performance of the singer of My Own Private Alaska as the opening act for Metallica . Matthieu Miegeville will thus become the singer of the group, accompanied by another figure from the French scene : Karol Diers de Gorod, on drums.

Our Own Democracy (2016)[edit]

The first album is composed between Toulouse and Bordeaux. Matthieu adds his voice to the music created by Arnaud and Audrey.

The first video, Candlelight[1], single of the album, si launched on Télérama as an exclusive[2].

Reception is quite positive [3]. The band tours in France [4] to end up at the Maroquinerie [5] in Paris, and in Germany in the the gigantic [6] Fusion Festival .

Terminus Stairway (2022) [7][edit]

Production[edit]

“ Stairway Terminal » is recorded between December 2021 and February 2022 at Budstudio studios and mastered in March by Globe Audio Mastering .

The launch will be phased as follows:

  • A teaser clip [8] "I Should Never Have a Stop" launched by the Finnish label Inverse Records
  • "Where is Soledad", the single, will be put in video [9]

Reception[edit]

The album is generally very well received by the specialized press ( metal obs' [10], rockmadeinfrance [11], French-metal [12] . . . ).
