Coming Out LGBTQ+ group' (Russian: Выход) is an organization campaigning for equal civil rights and acceptance of LGBT people in society. Established in April 2008 as a result of Week against homophobia in St. Petersburg

The group was registered with the Ministry of Justice of Russia on January 21, 2009, becoming the first LGBT organization in Russia to do so without trial.

The organization is headed by Alexander Voronov.

In December 2021, the Ministry of Justice of Russia announced that it had included the LGBTQ+ group “Coming Out” in the register of unregistered public associations acting asforeign agents

Goals of the organization[edit]

The main goal of the “Coming Out” is to achieve equal rights at the state and public level for everyone, regardless of their sexual orientation and gender identity.

Collateral goals of the organization:

protect the rights of LGBTQ+ communities and helping queer people live safely in Russia.
organize support groups and individual consultations with psychologists, lawyers, career consultants, peer consultants on transgender issues.
assist the police in investigating cases of discrimination and violence against queer people.
defend queer people and organizations in courts.
collect real statistics on the situation of queer people in Russia and transfer this information to journalists and international human rights organizations.
provide accessible information about everything related to sexual orientation, gender identity and the rights of LGBTQ+ communities in various formats: in texts and printed publications, on live broadcasts and at Queerfest

Organization’s activity[edit]

2008:

- The establishment of LGBTQ+ initiative group ЛГБТК+ инициативной группы «Coming Out» in Saint-Petersburg. - The first event was
