"Feel our rhythm! Hello, we are One Note!"

One Note (Korean원노트; RRWonnoteu; Japanese: ワンノート, Hepburn: Wan'nōto; commonly stylized in all caps as ONE_NOTE) is a multinational pre-debut virtual co-ed group formed by Hex Labels. The group is composed of six-members: Kim Joon, Sung Ji-yeon, Kim Tae-yeon, Lee Ji-heon, Yoshida Akari, and Moon Jun-ho.

Career

[edit]

Pre-debut: 2021-2022

[edit]

Kim Joon, the founder of Hex Labels, concentrated on her projects of forming a co-ed group since January 2022 and initiated development during May; birthing the name One Note the same month. The group originally consisted of five-members: Im Ji-yung, Kim Tae-yeon, Lee Ji-heon, Yoshida Akari, and Kim Joon herself.

During the formation period, the group was simultaneously promoting under another agency representing themselves as NYX; an eight-membered band that effectively disbanded in August 2022 due to creative differences and educational studies. Subsequently, this lead to the further advancements to One Note's first public appearance.

2022: Unofficial debut, line-up changes, "Tomboy," "Antifragile"

[edit]

One Note began promoting as a pre-debut group on August 11, 2022, with a performance cover of (G)I-DLE's "Tomboy". On September 10, 2022, it was announced that Lee Ji-heon would temporarily suspend activities indefinitely to focus on her education; however, she would not divert from the group.

On November 1, One Note reportedly signed a contract with Everest Labels in preparation for their upcoming comeback. Declaring perfection within nine days of consistent practice, One Note released their second performance cover of LE SSERAFIM's "Antifragile" subsequently featuring and marking the addition of former NYX member Moon Jun-ho. 'Antifragile' was a moderate success and acquired the group their first music show win on Arcadia Creative. On November 26, it was revealed that Madison would join One Note through the acceptance of Joon and would serve as the group's seventh-member. On November 30, Lee Ji-heon returned from her hiatus. On December 27, Madison spontaneously halted promotions with the group due to undisclosed reasons.

2023-present: Madison's departure, sub-groups, and continued success.

[edit]

In January 2023, it was announced that Madison formally parted ways from the group and agency due to her focused academics and general inactivity. On January 16, One Note received their second music show win on ARCADIA CREATIVE after performing NYX's debut cover of "O.O" by NMIXX, contributing significantly to the group's popularity.

On June 23, Sung Ji-yeon, Kim Tae-yeon, Lee Ji-heon, and Yoshida Akari formed the sub-group Love Note (stylized as Love_Note) and released a performance cover of Fifty Fifty's song "Log In" as a hint to their projected debut during the season.
