They decided on a name change once they started to create their own songs and the direction of their music changed.

They recorded their first four track demo as Brinkworth in 2002 in a home studio in Hackney, The demo consisted of:

Seems 2 Impressions Unfaithful The Abyss

Using the demo Brinkworth were able to play at local venues and clubs, such as The Standard Music Venue in Walthamstow, London and the Eton Mission in Hackney, London.

While still playing live performances and trying to build a fan base, Brinkworth took part in a music program in there local area in 2003, allowing them to record another demo of better quality, these tracks included:

Affection A Homicidal Heart Licentious Mr. Dead

Using the new demo Brinkworth were able to get more gigs, improving their music and live performances, Until in April 2004 Eddie Smith was diagnosed with cancer and passed away in July 2004, leaving the remaining three members uncertain of the bands future Lee O'connor assumed responsibility for lead vocals and He and Lee Rothwell shared the resposibility of the Bass, adapting previously recorded songs to suite the new format of the three piece band.

In 2006 Brinkworth went back into the Studio again and re-recorded Mr.Dead and A Homicidal Heart and also recorded new tracks including:

The Brinkworth Arms A Circumstancial Sorrow As Plain As Black Buddy Boiler (stop telling me what to do!)

Brinkworth slowly worked there way back into live performances, mainly gigging with bands they'd befriended in the early days, such as ClayPigeon and The Waiting Game.

In 2007 the band recorded two brand new tracks at Soni Studios, Soho, London.

A is for Acid Re-Occurance Screams

Which was their most professional sounding demo that they hoped would help them to get more gigs and widen there fan base, a few months after recording Brinkworth were put on indefinite hiatus as one of its members had personal problems which unabled them to continue.

Brinkworth are currently back in rehersal stages making up new material and working on their perfomance.
