Career[edit]

DJ Platurn came to prominence in the mid-1990's in Oakland, California's DJ scene and has since gone on to perform and garner acclaim internationally. In 2000 he and collaborator DJ Spair formed the Oakland Faders[3], a DJ and music production collective that has toured extensively individually and as a group, performing with many notable musicians including DJ Z-Trip, DJ Qbert, Raphael Saadiq, Parliament-Funkadelic, Tower of Power, Da Beatminerz, Jake One, Zion I, Crown City Rockers, Xzibit, Team Canada, and the Triple Threat DJs.[4]

In 2006 DJ Platurn was featured in a documentary film produced and directed by his sister, Ragga Thordarson, a film Producer based in Los Angeles, CA.[5]

In 2010 Platurn co-founded production duo The Midnite Sons. Their first EP, Cold Blooded, was released independently on March 5, 2012. [6]
