The Maytones: Their Greatest Hits is a compilation made by Heartbeat Records in 2002. (CODE: 11661-7575-2). It is considered to be the best compilation to discover The Maytones. Highlights includes: "Madness", "Africa We Want To Go", "Money Worries" and "Sha La La". According to the CD sleeve, all songs were produced by Alvin Ranglin for G.G. Records, Kingston, Jamaica.

Notes: The main reason for creating this page was to find the exact dates for the songs featured on this compilation, as the dates aren't available in the CD sleeve. The dates were found by doing extensive research on the Internet.

The material included on this compilation was recorded and released between 1970 and 1979. The only exception seems to be the last song which was issued in 1982, according to the 12-inch label.

NOTE: The song MONEY WORRIES was initially named MONEY TROUBLE on the 12-inch single. The title of song No.8 printed on the original single was SHA LA LA I NEED YOU. Included here is a disco extended mix. The track JAMAICAN COLLIE would be a re-recording of Lone Ranger’s song made by U Brown in 1982.
