Eddie Francis is an American born African American male radio jockey for the Seattle based radio station KUBE 93. He has gained considerable notoriety by becoming of the most popular and recongnizable DJs in the greater Seattle area, often known for his comedy and keen urban sense.
Early Life

[edit]Eddie was born April 27th 1981 at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, WA to parents Althea and Timothy Francis. During a walk home from an outing, His parents were murdered in what appeared to be a gang violence. With no parents he was raised by his aunt and uncle, Cicely and Terry "T" Montgomery. Eddie in school and was honored on numerous occasions for his academic prowess. As a student at Decatur High School, Eddie became more involved in sports. Football and basketball quickly became his staples as he lettered in both sports. It was during his junior year of high school that Eddie discovered that he loved entertaining people. After a Decatur win, the school television program decided to interview one of his fellow players. Eddie decided that he was the best person to conduct the interview, which was received well by the entire student body. Eddie graduated in 1999, and although most would consider him the class clown, Eddie was only a half a grade point away from being named class Valedictorian. He was named class speaker where he gained the attention of one Sir Mix-A-Lot.
Learning Got Back
[edit]Seeing the talent that Eddie had, Sir Mix-A-Lot decided to manage Eddie on the road. Eddie was featured on a few commercially unreleased tracks that didn't gain much attention that from the local fan base. It was during this time that Eddie decided to attend college and leave the music industry behind. It would be a freak accident that would change his life forever.
Laboratory Accident
[edit]Eddie majored in Physics, and quickly became Professor Truce Banner's prized student. During a test with some highly experimental gamma radiation, Eddie became exposed after the lab exploded. His injuries were thought to be severe, but Eddie recovered in just a few days. Upon leaving the hospital, Eddie discovered that he had the ability to make anyone laugh. He quickly became very popular in the underground comedy scene. Again, tragedy would change the direction his life would take.
With Great Power
[edit]During one of Eddie's shows, a man decided to attempt to heckle Eddie. Eddie responded by heckling the heckler and embarrassing him. This made the man very upset. The man was name Edward Brock, and he was a convicted felon. After the show, Edward attempted to get his revenge by shooting at Eddie. Thankfully and unfortunately, Eddie's Uncle T jumped in front of the bullet. Brock was subdued and arrested, and later convicted on one count of attempted manslaughter and one count manslaughter. As Eddie was holding his dying uncle in his arms, Uncle T's last words to Eddie were "With great power comes great responsibility. Da Da Da." Eddie would dedicate his next show to his late Uncle T. It was during this performance that Eddie would be bit by a "radio" active spider named Eric Powers.
Night Time Playas
[edit]Eric Powers was impressed with Eddie's timing and delivery and approached him about working for his radio stattion, KUBE 93. Of course, Eddie jumped at the idea. He saw this as his chance of fulfilling his destiny. He was teamed with DJ Bobby-O and the lovely Tiffany Warner to form the Night Time Playas. It was here that he gained superstar status. His refreshing blend of humor and insight helped to propel the Night Time Playas to the number 1 radio program in Washington. However in 2002, Bobby-O decided to leave to further his education at the Xavier Institute for Gifted Students. Tiffany and Eddie continued to keep the Night Time Playas going strong, until Tiffany announced that she was going to leaving work for Bruce Wayne as his personal assistant. Eddie was left alone, having lost his two wingmen. He began to do some commercials for the local Seattle market. His products included Trojan Magnums, Gatorade, and Skittles. But it was his notoriety as a popular radio personality that gained him a his next big project.
Saints Row Series
[edit]Eddie provided his voice as a DJ for the radio stations in the games Saints Row[1] and Saints Row 2. He was the DJ for the hip hop station KHRYME.
Shortly after, Eddie decided to help try to clean up the streets by joining the Seattle Police Force SWAT team. He was successful in cleaning up Pioneer Square, which was known for high crime and gang activity. But Eddie's fate would be changed forever once again after a freak accident.
The Morning Show
[edit]Kube 93's long standing morning radio DJ, the T-Man, was hit with some shrapnel while on a USO Trip to Afghanistan. He required the use of a electromagnetic devide that was placed in his chest in order to keep the shrapnel away from his heart. It was at this time that the T-Man decided to hand pick his successor. That successor would be Eddie Francis. But Eddie would not be alone. He would be reunited with his high school sweetheart, Karen Wild. Eddie would once again be on top of the radio world by having the number one radio show in Seattle.
Relationships
[edit]Eddie has been linked to various famous women from Jennifer Hudson to Taylor Swift, to Tyra Banks. It was rumored that Eddie was secretly dationg Rhianna, which is what led to the Chris Brown incident. It was also rumored that Eddie and Kelly Rowland were an item, but neither sources are confirming this.
