Maloneys Grocers is a family-owned and run supermarket chain based in Eastern Sydney, specialising in unique and speciality items, both local and imported[1], and vegan, gluten-free, paleo and organic. The company was founded by Richard Maloney, Joanna Matthews, and Sebastian Matthew in 2006.
History
[edit]In 2006, Richard Maloney, his wife Joanna Matthews, and brother-in-law Sebastian Matthews decided to open a small supermarket. The first store was opened in September 2006 in Coogee[2]. In 2011 the store was remodelled and doubled in size to keep up with demand. In 2009 a second store was added, located in Surry Hill[2]. The latest addition was in 2016, when they opened a third store in Woollahra[3].
