Jason left his home in the valleys of South Wales having taught himself to dance by watching his favourite pop videos. His first break came when he joined a professional dance troupe, training with seasoned dancers who polished up his dancing techniques. Then in 1989, Jason’s determination and hard work was rewarded when he entered the Welsh dance championships and won.
Later that year he moved to Blackpool to further his career in dance and it was there in 1994 that he auditioned for a position as backing dancer/singer for a newly formed group called Prophecy. Needless to say he was offered the job.
Prophecy did well as a group with two tours of UK military bases in Germany and the Manchester Mardi Gras for four consecutive years. The group also carried out various radio road shows in the North West and a non-stop touring schedule of nightclubs and bars up and down the country.
After five years hard work, the one thing that still eluded Prophecy was that sacred record deal. It was late in the August of 1998 that Jason decided to leave the group as he felt the need to move on and explore the possibilities of a solo career. The fellow members of the group felt the same and a date was set for May the following year to disband Prophecy for good.
Moving to London, Jason aimed his talents at the night club market with a slickly choreographed show of dance/club tracks and with two song's he had written and produced himself. Storming the London circuit, Jason’s determination was again rewarded in 2000, with invitation to perform as one of the support artist's at London's Mardi Gras in front of a 40,000 strong audience.
It was at this venue Jason meet top names from the music world including writer and producer John Springate who had just written and produced Nikki French's Eurovision entry. John was in the process of putting a group together for Eurovision 2001 and asked Jason to be part of it. Jason accepted and the track "Romeo and Juliet" managed to get into the final twenty.
Later that year Jason received an offer to work on the Costa del Sol. As things were going so well in London Jason at first turned the offer down. However, with the disappointment of the Eurovision entry and after a quick scouting trip to the Costa, Jason had a re-think. By April 2001 he was working six night's a week on the Costa del Sol.
The following year John Springate also decided to move to the Costa del Sol and since then he and Jason have been writing and producing material together. Each year Jason has released a summer single, his first " My Summer Of Love" followed by "Hot Love", " Lost In Tango " and " Who Would Believe ". In October 2005 Jason and John decided to remix a Westlife track called "You Raise Me Up" which was released by Klone Records. People along the Costa loved it and in May 2006 Jason decided to embark on a mini tour of the nightclubs in the UK. The tour helped promote the compilation album "X-Cite" which featured "You Raise Me Up” and in October 2006 another compilation album featuring "You Raise Me Up" was released called " Mad About the Boy 14". Since then Jason and John have remixed other great tracks such as Bette Midler’s "The Rose" and the classic Five Star hit "The Slightest Touch". Both were released in December 2006 by Klone Records and featured on the compilation album "Mad About the Boy 15 " in May 2007. The album "Eurovision Gems” was also released in May 2007 through Handbag Productions and the tracks "Hold Me Now", "Making Your Mind Up" and "Don’t Play That Song Again" featured Jason’s vocals. Through the release of this album, Jason received an invitation to attend the official Eurovision nightclub in Helsinki and during his 10-day tour Jason performed six times at the ‘Hercules’ nightclub. Febuary 2008 saw the release of 'Mad About The Boy 16' on Klone Records which featured another of Jason’s tracks 'OBSESSION' featuring Laura Ellen. 'Mad About The Boy 17' was realeased in January 2009. This Klone release features a cover of the Mariah Carey & Whitney Houston hit 'When You Believe' For more information about these releases go to www.klonerecords.com
