Fractal Audio Systems is a manufacturer of high-end amp-tone and effects processors designed for electric guitar but also applicable to other musical applications. The company was founded in 2006 and is based in Plaistow, New Hampshire. In November of 2008, Fractal Audio Systems and Atomic Amplifiers announced that they were 'operating as one', with shared product development, engineering, sales, service, marketing, artist relations and distribution efforts. Their product line currently includes the Axe-Fx Ultra and the Axe-Fx Standard.
