Ghostlight Theatre of Surprise is a non-profit community theatre in Surprise, Az. The theatre has partnered with Dysart Community Education to bring live theatre and theatre classes to the community. Ghostlight Theatre performs out of the Valley Vista Performing Arts Center. [1]

History[edit]

Ghostlight Theatre was founded in Feburary of 2010. Their first perfromance was Arsenic and Old Lace, which opened on 6/4/2010. [2]

Venue[edit]

The Valley Vista Performing Arts Center: Size - 16,332 square feet, including the foyer and auditorium. Seats - 1,302 people. Stage - 5,034 square feet with state of the art sound and technical equipment

Other ammenities include a dressing room, makeup area, mulitpurpose room and ticket booth. [3]

Its a Wonderful Life - A 1940's Radio Drama Adapted by Tony Palmero Dec 15th - 23rd

The Holiday classic presented as a live 1940's radio broadcast

Moby Dick! The Musical By Robert Longden and Hereward Kaye April 8th - 17th

As a fundraiser to try to save their school, the girls of St. Godleys mount an original production of Moby Dick.

Moon Over Buffalo By Ken Ludwig June 3rd - 12th

Moon Over Buffalo is a wild farce with lots of twists and turns, mistaken identies, love triangles and slapstick humor. [4]
