Gerald McDonald & Company Limited is a UK based supplier of ingredients to the food, drink, flavour and fragrance industries.

History[edit]

The company was founded in 1917 by Gerald J.W. McDonald in Botolph Lane, London EC3 and in 1972 moved to St Andrew's Hill, EC4.

From 2000 it has been based in Basildon, Essex, where it installed a juice blending plant and a spice processing unit.

Work[edit]

In 2008 it expanded the juice blending plant to include homogensation, pasteurisation and aseptic filling.

Agres srl, a citrus processing and blending factory based in Sicily, Italy, is an associated company.

Products at the time of writing include fruit derivatives, herbs, essential oils, spices and aroma chemicals.
