The hotel has several places for foods and drinks include a Japanese restaurant, Cantonese restaurant, an all-day dining restaurant, 3 lounge bars, an indoor club room and 2 rooftop bars[3].

Building's History[edit]

The hotel is renovated from two historic buildings located at Nanjing Road East. One is the original Shanghai Power Company, built in 1929[4]. The main building of the hotel is former East China Electric Power Building built in 1988[5]. The 126-meter-tall building was the highest building along the Bund at that moment. The final plan of Shanghai EDITION is to renovate the interior and leave the facade unchanged.
