'Self Centered' is a six part web series starring Kellie Shirley. It premiered on YouTube on January 25, 2010. [1]
The webisodes were also available on the official Self Centered website.
The series followed Lydia, a hot property actress who became mired in drink, drugs and front page scandal. Unable to get work, depressed and lonely she contemplated a suicidal overdose - only to wake up in a rehab clinic in the future. Guided by The Custodian, Lydia discovered that she is the key to saving mankind from a dystopian nightmare.
Pollibee Pictures are aiming to begin production on Season Two of 'Self Centered' in April 2011.
Format[edit]
Each episode is between three and five minutes long. It usually opens with Lydia in her flat in the real world, switching to her time in the clinic for the continuation of the episode, although Episode Five in the first season took place entirely in Lydia's flat. [2]
Plot[edit]
Lydia is a troubled young actress who is about to take her own life when intervention occurs through a clinic from the future. Lydia is told that she must take on the lead role in a film called 'For All Our Tomorrows' in order to bring mankind together. She then skips back and forth between the present and the future in order to become clean and the actress destiny needs.
