Dr. Misty Collier Farr was born in Marvell, Arkansas. The daughter of an intellectually disabled person, she was adopted by her grandparents. Her grandparents died and she moved in with her aunt and uncle in West Helena, Arkansas. She was Valedictorian of her class at Marvell High School and a Gates Millennium Scholar. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from St. Louis College of Pharmacy. She began her career as an intern for Walmart at its Ferguson (MO) location and has held various positions in the company: staff pharmacist at the St. Ann/Bridgeton (MO) location, Pharmacy Manager of the Chesterfield (MO) location, and currently serving as Pharmacy Manager of the Florissant (MO) store. She served as Regional Immunization Champion from November 2013 until February 2015, which required her to train pharmacists and prepare pharmacies for immunization delivery.

Dr. Farr is a member of the Missouri Pharmacy Association, where she serves on the Professional Affairs Committee. She is involved with the Minority Women Pharmacists Association. She serves on the Alumni Board of Directors at St. Louis College of Pharmacy and the Board of Directors of the Greater North County Chamber of Commerce. She is a member of Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc., League of Black Women, Knights of Peter Claver Ladies’ Auxiliary, Knights of Columbus Ladies’ Auxiliary, National Council of Negro Women, and St. Louis College of Pharmacy’s Mortar & Pestle Society, via its “Women’s Giving Initiative.” She is an active supporter and participant in the “Red Shoe Movement,” a grassroots movement of women supporting women for career success.

Dr. Farr is an advocate for senior and lower-income patients, working hard to deliver quality healthcare throughout the community and connect patients with resources that will lead to better overall health outcomes.

Dr. Farr volunteers serving meals, cleaning, and assisting families with the Missionaries of Charity. She is a member of the Youth Services Committee at St. Vincent Home for Children. She is a regular at community health fairs, where she provides a variety of services from health screenings and prescription consultations to informational sessions and vaccinations. She participates in career days and loves to visit with community organizations.

She is a recipient of the St. Louis College of Pharmacy “Black Heritage Distinguished Alumnus Award,” the St. Louis American Foundation “Salute to Excellence in Health Care Award,” the Missouri Pharmacy Association’s “Distinguished Young Pharmacist” and “Pharmacist Making A Difference” Awards, North County Incorporated’s “30 in Their Thirties” Award, and is recognized in the “Best, Boldest, & Brightest” section of the 2017 edition of “Who’s Who in Diversity-St. Louis.” She was a finalist for the 2017 Next-Generation Pharmacist “Patient Care Provider” Award, a national award recognizing top pharmacy professionals.
