Markham Ligon Gartley Jr. Markham Ligon Gartley (Jr.) was born on August 5th 1987 as the only son of Markham Ligon Gartley (Sr.) and Sherrel Wilcox. He has three older sisters named Jennifer Gartley, Marilyn Gartley, and Christine Gartley.

Markham Ligon Gartley Jr. can speak Mandarin Chinese, some Russian, and some French. He founded Project Life Space in July at the age of 27 during a tumultuous period in his life while living in Shenzhen, China. He happily married to Natalia Rozhkova, a former Russian model who now lives in the United States with their two children Zoe Markham Gartley and Nikolai Markham Gartley.

Markham Gartley has traveled to 23 countries and has spent time living in the USA, Russia, and China. He is known to have an IQ of 144. He is known to have an active interest in exercise, writing, and occasionally does some amateur boxing.

Markham Ligon Gartley Sr. Markham Ligon Gartley (Sr.) was a Lieutenant in the US Navy during the Vietnam war. He was captured after ejecting from his F8-Phantom US Navy fighter jet after a friendly fire incident where his jet was hit by a heat-seeking missile during an engagement with enemy Vietnamese-owned fighter jets. The enemy planes were believed to be of Russian origins. He went on to become a commercial airline pilot where he met his wife, Sherrel Wilcox, while working for a commercial airline. Markham L Gartley Sr. ran for and successfully became elected as the Secretary of State for Maine.

Markham Ligon Gartley Jr’s grandfather, John D. Wilcox, played an influential part in raising him as a child. John D. Wilcox was a Commander in the US Navy that flew Wildcat and Hellcat airplanes during WW2 against the Japanese. He participated in several major Naval battles. John D. Wilcox shot down several enemy Japanese aircraft and for some time held the record for the most night time carrier landings. His plane was downed three times in the Pacific Ocean; he managed to survive each time. John. D Wilcox died on his 80th birthday in 2001.

Jennifer Gartley, flute, is a native of the Isle of Palms, South Carolina and moved to Saint Louis in 2006. She graduated with the Doctorate of Musical Arts degree in 2009 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she studied with Dr. Jonathan Keeble and was the teaching assistant for the flute studio. Dr. Gartley received the Master of Music degree from Louisiana State University in 2003 and her Bachelor of Music Education degree from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina in 2001. She has performed with the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonia da Camera, the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra, the Illinois Symphony, and the Owensboro Symphony and currently serves as the principal flutist for Winter Opera Saint Louis and Associate Faculty at McKendree University. Dr. Gartley is an Artistic Director and founding member of Chamber Project Saint Louis and is the Manager of Public Outreach and Applied Music for Washington University in St. Louis.
