Overview[edit]

The Roasterie is a specialty coffee company based in Kansas City, Missouri. They import 100 percent Arabica Specialty Grade coffees from more than 31 different producing countries. The Roasterie also composts grounds and chaff on site and at a local farm. After composting as much waste as possible, they offer the extra to the public for personal use. In addition, they send burlap coffee bags to local organizations for reuse. In 2009, The Roasterie re-fit all lighting in their plant and Café to be high-efficiency, low energy consumption bulbs and fixtures. [7]
