The Federation of Base's Organizations (FOB, its acronym in spanish, Federación de Organizaciones de Base) is a social and political movement that brings together different neighborhood political organizations from Argentina with an anarchist ideology formed in 2006. It is part of what is known as the piquetero movement and has a non-partisan character based on principles of direct democracy, self-management, class independence, federalism and feminism. [1]
History
[edit]The FOB emerged in 2006 as an alternative territorial organization to the other piquetero organizations, this idea can be interpreted as a horizontal organization without leaders whose coordination is without hierarchies giving priority to self-management and self-organization without relying on political parties or the State.
