Diabetes Society

The Diabetes Society is a 501c(3) non-profit founded in 1963 by a group of parents of children with diabetes with a mission to improve the lives of people affected by the disease through education, advocacy, support services, and partnerships.^[1] Its offices are located in San Jose California.^[2]

The organization began offering a popular residential summer camping program for children with type one diabetes in 1974 and also offers programs focusing on awarness and prevention for those at risk of developing type two and gestational diabetes.
