Alexander "Alex" Parsons (b.1982) is a British composer, record producer and teacher, living in South East London.
He is known for scoring short film and television documentaries as well as producing and remixing both Commercial and Underground House music. He has composed soundtracks to a number of award-winning films, including 'Mayfly', a short film by Richard Purves and the 'Animated Minds' series for Mosaic Films, which won awards from both BAFTA and the Royal Television Society in 2010. In 2004, Parsons completed a masters degree in Composition from Goldsmiths, University of London[2], where he focused on contemporary electronic composition, sound art and music for film. [3]
Parsons is the founder of the 16 Steps Music Production School and record label.
