Sunken Nymphs is the generic term within the art of fly fishing given to nymphs tied with metal wires rather than silk or thread. They were invented by the late Frank Sawyer MBE. Sunken Nymphs are fished in the Netheravon Style and include patterns such as the Pheasant Tail Nymph, Sawyer Grey Goose Nymph, Sawyer Swedish Nymph, Sawyer Killer Bug and the Sawyer Bow Tie Buzzer.
