History
[edit]Originally founded in 1947 on 13th Avenue, it moved to is current location in 1957. A popular hangout for the underworld, it later transformed to a 24hr diner catering to the local population of middle class laborers. In 2003, the founder's grandson remodelled the restaurant, and added two replica subway cars to create an authentic 1950's diner experience. As the neighborhood demographics changed, the restaurant's clientele were no longer living in the area. In 2003 the restaurant was sold, and became a kosher meat diner.
